Why Do I Need A Car Transport Broker?

The short answer of why you need a car transport broker is protection and access to our network.

How does a car transport broker offer protection?

The car shipping business is a highly regulated industry. To ensure that business is lawfully carried out, car transport brokers are required to have government licensing and authority to be allowed to broker vehicle shipping for customers. This includes being registered with the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and obtaining a Freight Broker Bond. These requirements were put in place to increase safety measures and prevent fraud and/or unethical practices after the DOT witnessed a dramatic increase in complaints against both trucking companies and brokers. We are happy to provide our DOT Number, Motor Carrier Number, Bond and Insurance information upon request.

Why do I need access to a car transport broker’s network?

At Beam Me Up Auto Transport, we specialize in shipping cars, trucks, busses, farming machinery and equipment, motorcycles, boats, RV’s and more. When we’re brokering the shipment of your vehicle we estimate the price based on the size of the car, the distance between the pickup location and the drop off location, and the time of year (the price of shipping a vehicle can fluctuate depending on seasons). Once we agree on an acceptable price we will first offer the job (transporting of the vehicle) to our network of trucking companies. We have built strong relationships with numerous trucking companies through the years who have proven to be communicative and reliable. If our trucking company partners are unavailable or the customer is looking for a rate lower than the estimate we have provided we will use freight load boards to post the job and find trucking companies that have transportation resources in the area.

Please note: We only work with trucking companies that come with the highest ratings derived by freight load board surveys and Better Business Bureau statistics.

Feel free to check out our reviews at Transport Reviews, The Better Business Bureau, Google (enter Beam Me Up Auto Transport in your Google search bar), and Yelp to see why hundreds of people consider us the best auto shipping brokerage to work with.
