What Is A Broker Fee?

The above image serves as a representation of payment. It does represent Beam Me Up Auto Transport’s broker fee.

A car transport broker, or more aptly, an auto transport broker is someone who specializes in the shipping or transportation of vehicles. The role of an auto transport broker is to broker or arrange a transaction, between a customer and a trucking company. Once this task has been executed, that is, a trucking company has confirmed they will pick up your car within an estimated timeframe and deliver it within an estimated timeframe; a contract is created between the broker and the trucking company, and additional contract is created between the broker and the customer, and a broker fee is required.

The broker fee is required because it is payment for services rendered. At Beam Me up Auto Transport, we only require the broker fee to be paid after the services are rendered, never upfront. The broker fee is sometimes referred to as a deposit because it is included in your estimated quote. Once the broker fee has been paid the remaining balance is due to the trucking company upon delivery (never pick up) of your vehicle. That the broker collects a fee is also an indicator to trucking companies that this is a secured job and when they arrive to pick up the freight it will be there. For these reasons the broker fee is non-refundable.

Please note: We only work with trucking companies that come with the highest ratings derived by freight load board surveys and Better Business Bureau statistics.
