What is a car transport broker?

A car transport broker, or more aptly, an auto transport broker is someone who specializes in the shipping or transportation of vehicles. The role of an auto transport broker is to broker or arrange a transaction, between a customer and a trucking company.

At Beam Me Up Auto Transport, we specialize in shipping cars, trucks, busses, farming machinery and equipment, motorcycles, boats, RV’s and more. When we’re brokering the shipment of your vehicle we estimate the price based on the size of the car, the distance between the pickup location and the drop off location, and the time of year (the price of shipping a vehicle can fluctuate depending on seasons). Once we agree on an acceptable price we will first offer the job (transporting of the vehicle) to trucking companies that we have built strong relationships with through the years who have proven to be communicative and reliable. If our trucking company partners are unavailable or the customer is looking for a rate lower than the estimate we have provided we will use freight load boards to post the job and find trucking companies that have transportation resources in the area.
